Reservations, Cancellations and Refund Policy

Storey’s Fly Fishing strongly encourages making trip reservations in advance. Occasionally, there are openings on the day-of. However, prime dates are typically booked months in advance during the offseason.

For hosted trips to Alaska, it is strongly recommended that reservations are made at least six months in advance. Reservations for prime dates are typically booked one year in advance. This lodge operates independently and all transactions are made through them. The lodge requires a 50% deposit at the time of booking. Please refer to Dierick’s Tsiu River Lodge website for more information on their reservation and cancellation policies.

For Oregon fishing trips, a $100 per day deposit is required to reserve dates. This deposit can be paid by cash or check. The remainder of the balance is due the day of your trip.

Upon receipt of the deposit, specific trip details will be sent. This includes an electronic trip waiver. Trip waivers must be signed prior to beginning your trip. For any participant 18 years or younger, the waiver must also be signed by a parent or legal guardian. Paper waivers will be available for those who are not able to sign electronically. Signing of trip waivers is non-negotiable. Trips will not take place without waivers being signed by all participants, and no refunds will be given.

Full refunds will be given for cancellations no later than 30 days before the trip date. Deposits are non-refundable within 30 days of the trip date. However, we do understand that sometimes life happens. If you do need to cancel your trip within 30 days of your arrival for any reason, we will allow the balance paid to be forwarded to another date within the current season.

It is very rare that we cancel trips, however there are a number of factors out of our control that affect the safety of the trip. This includes but is not limited to weather, unusual water levels, and unexpected dam-controlled water releases. We reserve the right to cancel or postpone trips for any reason if we feel that safety is compromised. If we decide to cancel or postpone your trip, full refunds will be issued. This does not include any other expenses incurred by trip participants.

Trip insurance is always available by third-party. We recommend that you purchase trip insurance after booking your trip in order to protect yourself from unexpected circumstances.

Receipt of trip deposit and/or final payment is acknowledgement that all participants have read and agree to our reservation, cancellation and refund policies.

Thanks again for fishing with us!
